The base model will be powered by Chrysler's all new Pentastar V6, with a Limited, Overland and SRT version most definitely coming with a Chrysler V8 underneath. A hybrid version is said to also be possible.
the 2011 Grand Cherokee will also boast an all new improved interior, optional Quadra-lift air suspension, 3 different All-Wheel Drivetrains, and the ability to tow a 3.35 ton load. On-road ride and handling will be maximized thanks to 4 wheel independent suspension, and for the first time the Grand Cherokee will be available with an optional 3rd row seating to raise maximum capacity to 7 passengers.
Vehicle assembly will begin next month in the USA, and the Middle East region is expected to receive its first units sometime after September, before the new year.
